Yes, I'm familiar with how it all works on FB. I just found it really spammy to see the same ad multiple times a day.

I think all advertising content is targeted based on your browsing history \ cookies (as you say) unless you tell them not to? that's what google do anyway. Do the adblockers not block that stuff (I'm not on the FB)?

I use adblocker on chrome and google and FB still know every move. :(

Qs

If you don't want to see loads of ads on facebook don't use facebook. It exists to take your information, give it to advertisers and have them target you.

Folks - sorry havent been on here for a while -

With regards to the facebook ads - Im fully responsible for that - any complaints fire them my direction.

So - yeap - they look like ads - because they, essentially are ads - we have paid (3 or 4 times now) to boost our brewcon posts.

Its one of the best ways to get a message to your target audience.

We were on about 102 ticket sales (which is a loss) and very stationary - we started this campaign over the last 10 days or so and we have sold an additional 20 tickets - thats about 1200 euros worth.

The ads cost somewhere from 3/4 euro to 12 euro - depending on how many posts it reaches (not sure what qualifies as a reach)
So the total spend at the moment on that is roughly 30 euro

Of course the ticket sales arent 100% because of the exposure on facebook - the lads have done a lot on twitter and forum website etc...

Anyways - without rambling too much - we have one more ad to go next week. I hope you understand - and I appreciate people arent complaining - but I thought no harm to fill people in as to where and why the ads were appearing.

I hope that clears it up

Thanks guys - BrewCon is going to be bigger and better than ever !!!
