Did this as small batch BIAB. HOw long before I can consider tasting it.
There are only 8 bottles so want to avoid waste of disappointment

Three weeks after bottling is earliest you should probably open one but I would give it three weeks before cracking into them just to be sure they've carbonated.

I mostly brew small batches and find for 'quality control' purposes it helps to bottle a few (or all) in 330ml bottles. You'll have more bottles and can treat yourself to a wee sample as the brew matures.

As Irish-goat says three weeks to carb and condition in the bottle is a great rule of thumb. My experience with SMASH recipes is that they are at there best young, as there aren't any complex malts in there to blend, but only your own taste buds will tell you when things are just right for you.

Simcoe is an amazing hop, should be a great brew  ;)

I know, I know, it's such a struggle to collect all those empty 330ml bottles  ;D

I've had bottles carb in a week but 2 is ideal for me.

A good rule of thumb is 1 week for every 10 gravity points, e.g.  4 weeks for a 1.040 beer.
