Bit of background reading on this thread, but we're having an evening dedicated to the evaluation of beers intended for the 2016 Nationals. Bring your beers along to be evaluated by one of the NHC's certified BJCP judges and get a fully completed score sheet. Then afterwards, the judges will be available to answer any questions you might have in relation to your beer.

In order to make the evening run as smoothly as possible, please sign up below stating how many beers you want to have evaluated.

This is not exclusively for South Dublin Brewers members, all welcome.

I think it might be wise if we set a limit of 3 beers per brewer, but let's see what sort of demand there is first.

It's disappointing that there's no interest in this from anyone in the Dublin area. I'm at a loss why..?

I'll be bringing a few beers for evaluation anyway, so you'll get your practice in.

I might have to cancel a couple of the judges at this stage..

It may be that its a bit early! January would probably see a lot more beers ready for pre-judging!

Indeed, but the idea was that it would give people some good feedback plus an opportunity to re-brew before doing another session in the new year.

There is strict control on the Dublin/Wicklow DMZ these days.. Rumours abound that it's been put in place due to high levels of cross-border sheep smuggling..

Thanks for the updates lads. I made a bit of a boo-boo though.. I should never have asked ye to list the beer styles you'll be bringing. Not a big deal of course, but it's better not to have anything that might influence the judges. Apologies for editing your posts, hope that's ok.
