I'm looking for about half a dozen ~5L (3kg malt) airtight containers to store malt. Anybody got reasonably priced recommendations? Bonus points for rodent proof and stackable.

I use the monster ones from ikea and know they are mouse proof as the fucker went for an old bag of my carbonation drops instead before I "got" him
It's alright though I brushed them off before using them

The Packaging Centre on the Naas Rd. have really good tamper proof buckets. I pop in there on the way home from work to pick up buckets for grain when I need them. They also have an online shop if you can't makeit out that way.

Alpack out in Sandyford are also very good.
Every little helps

Which are the monster ones? Are they air tight?

I use the Ikea €1 glass jars with plastic lids for speciality grains and old fermenters to hold the rest.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

I got a few of the tillsluta storage containers from ikea, they're all modular so perfect for stacking, here's the 5.5l version

Are they airtight? It's not obvius on the website. They look good

Yeah they are, they have a rubber seal in the lid, and they need a bit of pressure to take it off so it's a good seal. They're really study as well.

The Alpack ones are 10 for ~€16 which seems like a good price.
