Whats up guys, first time coming to the meeting and new member. Bringing an American IPA that ill be bottling soon and hope its good enough for competition. Bringing along my first attempt at an Irish Red Aleish type that was dry hopped in bramling cross and ended up nearer a porter in colour (definitely not a competition beer).

Quick q, I've recently moved over to kegging so I'll have to draw off beer into bottles to bring with.  However that means they risk being a bit flat from being poured/moved.

For those of you who keg & bottle for meets what do you recommend?

Long term solution: get a beergun (blichmann or one of the cheaper chinese knock offs).

Short term: put the bottles in a fridge or freezer before bottling to keep them as cold as possible (the colder they are the more Co2 will stay in solution). Purge each bottle before pouring from the tap with Co2 if possible. Pour very gently and then give the headspace another blast of Co2 before capping. That's about all you can do without more specialist equipment.
Every little helps

I'm still waiting on the slow boat to deliver this, when it eventually arrives I'll take to the meeting hopefully Feb , you can have a look at it then
