I just saw on twitter that Brewbots have started shipping out, and you're able to order them, I was curious about it thinking it would be a great competitor to the 20L braumeister. But then I saw that it's now nearly $10,000 ~ €8850, a huge increase from the kickstarter price of £1500 ~ €1800 back in 2013.
They are the nicest looking automated brewing machine i've come across, but at that price and the ability to only use an iphone for controlling it, I can't see many homebrewers buying one, which is a pity because I really wanted one when I first saw the kickstarter, those who did back it back then now have a great bargain.

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw the price increase.

I was interested for a while at the lower price but they just kept putting off the release date. I'm wondering did extra R&D costs push up the price.

Shame because as it's a beautiful piece of hardware, pity that it's priced out of most people's budgets.
