I'm guess the streaming thing isn't going to fly but if it does I'd be interested and I can think of at least one more from Belfast.  As already said if it would work to travel down for the mock/real exams etc I'd be in.

Don't rule it out yet, might be worth trying to stream (eg periscope) from a club meet as a trial, see how it works out.

Might try it for 5-10mins next week at GCBrewers meet.

I'll stick link up (reminder: must stick in diary)

Andrew

Had a good conversation with Bill and Cara Simpson on the Aroxa kits. There may be interest in putting a specific kit together especially for homebrewers and homebrew clubs. I'm also looking at doing their week-long sensory course.

The sensory course really does sound like the business and a great way to teach judging.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

I'd be up for this too if it was possible.

As did I!

I will pm you with my thoughts.
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Hingo

Good stuff on the sensory kits guys, keep us posted. It would be a big one for me.
Only so much a written description of a flavor can do, but knowing exactly how it tastes on its own will go a long way to help you pick it out from the tapestry of flavors going on in a brew.

giacomo

I'm interested in the sensory training too! Keep me posted :D

And of course, if I can help for the classes, let me know

Good news folks, Gordon has informed us that attending the conference and the Leann Follain tasting will count towards "Continuing Education" points. Will work with James to getting a full list forwarded on to the BJCP.

I forwarded all the emails and names,  if the BJCP ids are required I'll get back

Just wondering if we could also register the Sensory course under the Continuing Education Program Description?

Would be handy to gain a point for it to get people started.
