Keg kingdom have a quick vid on their fb page of this recirculating. Also a comment from them saying he did a water test and it almost took 50 litres!

Can be bought on ebay now, arrives in december, good price on it, there is a 10% discount at the moment.

Slightly OT..

Who is dominating the automated brewing market right now?

Ignoring the less established players, is the Grainfather now seen as a worthy contender to the Braumeister, at a fraction of the price?

The new wifi control unit seems to be a bit of a game-changer. I'd have expected the price of the Braumeisters to have fallen by now in response to all the new entrants to the market, but no..

Thoughts?

Definitely needs to be factored into purchasing. Personally, I'd rather pay for the vessel on its own and chose my own method of plate/immersion/counterflow chilling. I'll be sticking with my IC :)

GF have fallen in price no? I thought they were 800 at one point?

For the money, the Gf looks to be the better bet. I didn't like the look of it initially but they seem to be able to take the abuse and have quite a bit of support. Also the larger grainbill support in a grainfather means you can use it for pretty much every beer type without dme.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

That's a definite advantage. I like the extra 5 litres of beer with the Gf too. There's a lot of "bits" in the Gf, compared to the Bm which looks so much simpler.

That ace brewer is looking very appealing. Holds nearly 40 litres of water without the grain basket as well apparently.

Just a word of warning. I have the ace water heater. Its essentially a burco with as tap and bazooka filter. I now have the bulldog so use it as a sparge water heater. The build quality isn't great. I had to replace the tap completely and also rescrew the handles onto it. Might be worth bearing in mind

In fairness the ace brewer looks to have a quality build. I wouldn't dismiss until you have a look at the vid on YouTube. Looks like it has quality connections on it I.e camlock on the return arm. Search for brew butler on YouTube. Has a magnetic drive pump as well.

If you look at the comments on keg kingdom facebook page the owner claims he is getting nearly 50 litres in there
