Last Man Standing competition

Not sure whether anyone was watching the other thread re fundraising...
but would there be any interest in a last man standing competition.

If you're not familiar - it would be based on the english premier league.
Pay a tenner.
You pick a team.
If your team wins you go through to the next round.
You cant pick the same team twice.
Last person/people left gets the remainder of the pot after 25-30% goes to the club.
I have software which I wrote to track it so you can easily check results etc and see how you're doing.
We can host it on the website.
Moneys would be managed via the NHC account.
Hopefully we get paypal sorted out to make it extra easy.
Open to members and non-members (get your family involved)

Well they typically last about 4-6 weeks (or rounds) there's about 25 rounds left in the season.
so say 4 runs of the competition so if we got 10 people for each one thats 400 euro in and 100 euro for the club.

So I'd say about 10 to make it worth while. But I'd stretch it with 8 or 9

How will we be able to pick our teams? email or texts?

I'll probably be able to get a couple of heads together for this.

I used to do it by text. But we could do it via text, email and forum.
I did have plans to change the software so that im not the one that has to enter each person's choice, i.e. they could enter their own, but I never got round to that.

If your entry wasnt into me by a certain time (a few hours before the first match in the round kicks off), you got the next team in the list that you havent picked.

If anyone has any mates - just stick their name down on the list - they dont have to be members - they can enter via email/text.
