We may be the last place on the page but my search for homebrew put us on the first page

Aren't these sorts of results things dependent on your search history with google? Doesn't google rank things based partly on where your seaching from and what you've looked for in the past, for example. It seems unlikely that an Irish website beats US homebrew websites for example.

Very good points Andrew, I should have qualified it as being a google.ie result, so geographically relevant sites are preferred by the algorithm.
