Hi,

I am trying to make sense out of something quite weird that keeps happening with my own ales and lagers.

I bring my own beer (bottled) with me when we go camping and it travels either in boxes in car boot or in the fridge of our caravan. The problem is, every time it ends up pouring with no head whatsoever. When I bring the same beer from the same batch back home it pours normally with a great head like it always does.

The beer doesn't get tossed about to the point of becoming cloudy or anything and pours clear with proper carbonation, just no head.

It makes no sense (to me).

Anyone got any theories or advice?

Thanks :-)

Do you use the same type of glass when you travel as at home? I'd start with that.

Could be a temperature/sealing issue.on bottles. Co2 expands when kg warms up so could be a case that it's leaking out of badly sealed bottles. Or as previously stated it could be a detergent issue with the glasses your using as left over washing up liquid residue on glasses can kill beer head.
