Had a load of family and friends over for a party at the weekend and this was the pick of the beers I had on draft.
Keg got destroyed by everyone. Simple recipe and a real crowd pleaser. Pours a lovely deep copper color that is too easy to chug.

Altbier (7 B)

Type: All Grain

Boil Time: 60 min
Equipment: R2Beer2
Efficiency: 80.00 %
Est Mash Efficiency: 80.0 %

4.9% ABV

2.50 kg Pilsner (Weyermann) (3.3 EBC) Grain 1 63.3 %
1.00 kg Minch Munich Malt (30.0 EBC) Grain 2 25.3 %

Great beer for a party. I love Weyermann's caramunich range. II is amazing in Helles style beers.
Every little helps

Love the beer. Would be one I'd keep on draft all the time.

Will have to give it a go...

Mmm nothing beats a good alt. Well maybe a Vienna lager, but I'm biased until I get through my 25kg bag :)

Wonder how it would be with Vienna for munich actually...
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

I wouldn't have thought of using Caramunich in a Helles. What % would you use?

Dr Jacoby

1-3% usually. Works well in tandem with similar amounts of carahell.
Every little helps
