Hi all,
Newbie here about to start my first kit. Have to say I'm glad i found this website and forum some great info here and everyone seems really helpfull.
Anyway this is the kit I'm going to start with http://www.homebrewwest.ie/brewsmarter-premium-starter-beer-kit-best-value-844-p.asp
Any thoughts or tips are welcome, cheers guys.

Welcome Dave, great to see another brewer from the Midlands!
Good luck with the brew and give us a shout if you need anything.

Welcome Dave!
I'd fork up the extra €3 and get the upgrade to a 33L FV, also get a kilo of spraymalt or a 1.5kg tin of malt extract and use it instead of the brewing sugar.  :)

Thanks for the tips Eoin, my kit came today so i think I'll just go ahead with the sugar for my first attempt and try the spraymalt or malt extract on the next brew.

Sugar will not produce something very good, just be aware of that, don't be disappointed if it tastes a bit cidery.
