Is anyone using spent grain as groundbait for fishing.?

Would you use it to feed a spot to later fish this spot, that what you mean.

yes, and to hold a shoal of fish in the area while you fish. A tactic used in coarse fishing.

I'd say it'd be alright to bulk with. my brother uses calf nuts for bulking, I can't imagine that spent grain is much different to calf nuts.

Tried it today . I had to mix with crumb as the grain doesnt hold together well enough to throw. It seems to be worth adding to your usual groundbait mix to help keep the cost down. Dont know if it adds any extra attraction to the groundbait but it is not doing any harm as i caught bream, roach and perch.
