Mines at about 1.018 - still a bit sweet/alcoholy balanced with quite a fruity hoppiness.

Chilled and carbed sure it woould be drinkable already.

Re. Dry Hopping: Are we going to dry hop in the cask? or are some doing it in secondary?

I think the plan was to dry hop in secondary for a few days before the move into the cask.

Sure we may as well - the hops we have will be sh**e in 12 months anyways.

Cahalbrua

So have we confirmed move to barrel day as Sunday 1st dec.

Jaysus Will, if you take the comma out between the words Ars* and F**k, it does not look good.  A gentleman's club you say?

But yes, we're still good for the 1st of December.  Dry hop this Sunday, fill cask next Sunday.
I had better wash the BBQ!

Partridge might have let slip and denied it but I knew what you are all up to in NCB ???

Down to 1.016 from 1.095, hops added :)

nigel_c

Same here.

So what are peoples plans for the empty or barrel 1? What will the return be? I'm happy to donate a bottle to our generous supplier of barrel no 2 and think we should all do the same. Would be a nice gesture when we get the barleywine out as well.

Do we have a pump sorted?
If yes we should look into what the Galway lads did.
Auto syphon -> solar pump -> beer line -> corny disconnect -> down the diptube & into the bottom of co2 purged cornies.

If priming bottles fresh yeast will prob be needed. I've heard a lot of people use notty.

That's a great idea! Would like to see that in action  8)

Rats

I organized a pump from the brewery.

Sent from the thingy in my hand.

I'm probably going to bottle prime.  Do I need to add a full pack of yeast for 19L (with approx. 100g of sugar) or would half do?
Could I re-seed with a dollop from the fermenter I'll be emptying on Sunday?
Seems a shame not to bottle when I have a load of helpers around on Sunday!  :P

Cahalbrua

Only down to 21, being in secondary since Friday dry hops added.
I have it in a 19L plastic carboy with a tap, will I transfer from the carboy on Sunday.
Also have 4L in a Demi John is this needed too or do we have enough in 19L each.

Jacob

About what time are we planning to start the party?  :D

Probably best to bring it just in case!

Lads, I'm easy.  I'm up at 6.30am with the brats, so anytime after that is ok with me!  7am too early???

How about aiming for midday? 12 o' clock?  We only have daylight till about 4.00 so if ye want to start a bit earlier that's ok too.
