There is a big chance that will add molases and chilies to the stout ... Any one would like to join me? :P

Jacob

What's wrong with it? Too spicy?

nigel_c

Cook with it. Im sure it would make a class base for a chili or if your nice to you local butcher, braised beef short ribs. :P

I'd have to agree with Tube, leave out the chilli's, it will be hard to get through 20l of it! I'd say add coconut, but I'm just on that sort of a buzz at the moment!

Enjoy the double brew day, I'll be doing one of them next weekend, possibly two! it is a long weekend after all :) It's been a long time since I got 4 brews on in one weekend! Easter 2011 I think! I'll probably just stick to two brews though!

Yeah, forget the chilli. I made a brew with a handfull of habanero and it was a waste of beer.
I added vanilla to a stout and it was fantastic. Used most of a bottle of essence at bottling and it was worth it. The vanilla essence does kill the head a bit but there you go.
Primary -
Secondary -
Kegged - Red Dragon, Red Lager, HopWarOne, ThisIsntLager
Bottled -

Jacob

Should have some vanila, maybe will give a try.
Soon going to sparge first batch, grain for the second
crushed and ready. So far so good.

Tube, If you are looking to get rid of that chili stout I know a few lads who would like to try it. I work with a few nutters who put Dave's insanity sauce on nearly everything.
It comes with the warning
'Use this product one drop at a time. Keep away from eyes, pets and children. Not for people with heart or repiratory problems.'

If you have to much of it would be more then happy to 'adopt' few bottles :P
