Bike computer thing

Looking to get a decent cheap bike computer thingy. I got a cheap one on ebay thats just died on me and I got used to having a clock on the bike. Don't need any fancy schmancy stuff on it, just the clock would do...backlight would be handy as well though. Any suggestions?

The Lidl/Aldi ones are pretty much disposable and will break after a while - Tesco sell them also but the quality will be same as Lidl/Aldi - the two websites (Wiggle and CRC) would be the best places to order a decent one - all kinds out there so just chose one that has the functions you need - best reliable entry level brand would be - Cateye.

Ive an Aldi one for 5 years now, out in rain 24/7, not sure where the "wont last" came from. Everything in Aldi, wiggle, amazon come from the same sweatshops in china. the difference with aldi is the give a 3 year warranty with everything they sell.
Ive also got aldi ergometer in my gym with a million miles on it for past 7 years and still perfect. Also heart rate monitors still perfect after 7 r 8 years.

Ive also got the Lidl GPS watch that cost half the Garmin 305 price and has lasted twice as long and still goin while the Garmin packed up 2 years ago.

I have one of those bike computers with sensor for wheel, heart rate transmitter and so on. Its new in box. If yis liffeyers can make it to the Kildare bash on saturday. Ill give yis a look at it

"Wont last" comes from my experience of using them - been thru a few of them, that said they were getting a lot of use - never left out in rain or dropped or anything, just stopping after a while. A decent Cateye wont cost you too much more, just my recommendation.

I just really need a clock display to tell me if I'm late for work 

Backlight would be good too as its always dark (and windy) when I'm on the bike

Halfords (bikehut) basic wireless is fine. I have one about four years with daily use. Still as good as the day it was bought.
