Bottles for cider

Ok, I've just bottled my first beer and am waiting on it. I have been reading alot about lidl/aldi turbo ciders and am very interested! The only thing is bottling, I'm pretty broke after buying loads of equipment! I know that beer has to go in brown glass, but what about cider?

I've been doing a bit of reading and it seems the colour isn't as important for cider. I've also come across brew kits that give PET plastic bottles. As far as I'm aware, PET is just ordinary plastic, as used by coke and others. right? Now some places suggest that these bottles are gas permeable, which might not be so good for bottle conditioning, especially seeing as I had planned to simply forget about this cider until summer!

So can anyone help me out here? Will I be poisoning myself by using PET bottles? Will the bottles be strong enough to withstand the pressure? Will I end up with flat piss come summer?

Not good for long term storage, ok until the summer.
Clear bottles are fine

I use sodabottles to bottle my cider.. I strore them in a dark place or cover the bottles.  I also use the cheapest concentrate AJ i can find.. Usually i go to the aldi and get the stuff that is €1 per 1.5l.

I also sell some bottles to friends and family for €2 per liter and make just enough money to make my next batch :).

If you can make soup then you will also be able to make a decent beer!

No you don't sell, you give the bottle free, and you get €2 that they owed you for ages as obviously selling would be illegal ;)

that is why its why i only sell to friends.. they give me a token of appreciation for the hard work and love i have put into it ;).

But the laws about drugs and alcohol are a bit strange, but the 10/15 liters i sell in 3/4 months will not be a problem..
