I just noticed on Facebook yesterday that Brennans are stocking Kilner homebrew kits. I haven't been in for a look to see how much they're stocking, but it might be handy.

Thanks for posting - I will look out for it the next time I'm in Cork city  :)

82 euros  :o They wouldn't be worth that with beer in them.

I can see the littlewoods Christmas ad now. Caroline Moran flips the top of her first homebrew. It's a gusher. She brings it to her lips....

I need a cold shower  :P

Thats only 10 times dearer than cara was sellin dem for..:) does littlewoods sell the crates as well. Might buy some spares....not!

I know Tescos also sell them for 5 or 6!

Its better than half price if you buy them full of that lovely cloudy lemonade!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

I find having used these for homebrewing that the glass is more porous than brown glass beer bottles, have stains on the clear glass that seems sometimes near impossible to remove with oxy, bottle brush, H2O2, hot caustic, fairy liquid and so on. Also had one litre ones that went to the bottle bank for the same reason. so beware the clear fliptop tesco lemonade bottles and keep an eye on their sanitation at the very least

Crespin triple Secret Des Moines. 750ml swing top bottles full of beer €6.99 each.
Primary: Back to Black Again (Michael Jackson stout)
Secondary:
Conditioning:  Breac Donn Imperial Amber Ale
Drinking: Cascade Reaction Amber Ale, Fear Gorm Irish stout, lonesome pilgrim pale ale
Planned: imperial stout, finlandia kit hack

where did you see the Crespin triple SDM 750ml swing tops Chris?

Chris

I get them in Carry Out Off licence in Newcastle west. It's a beer I enjoy so that helps.

I've used the flip top lemonade bottles for soft drinks, sours and ciders without any issues. Wouldn't use them for hopped beers though on account of their being clear.
