I will be traveling across the pond to Dublin for a week in November.  Would be awesome to find any homebrew meet ups that might be taking place while I'm there.

Will be there 18 November - 23 November, staying in Smithfield Square.  Would be cool to talk homebrew, I would suggest a homebrew swap but TSA frowns upon outside alcohol being brought on flights.

I brought 3 bottles of beer from New York last week no problem

Sounds like a capital brewer meet forming ;)
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Should be no problem bringing beer in checked luggage, cabin bags not so much...

Definitely should be plenty of people to meet and talk homebrew with you.

Isn't it customary for visiters from the US to bring a few bottles of Pliny to the meets anyway  :P

Hold on, don't scare this man away  :)

Trying to avoid a checked bag, but more and more looking like I might need one.  I do have a pumpkin ale in clearing/cold crash at the moment might bring some of that :).

I'm still rather new, only doing it for a little over a year and staying to hone my skills.  The last brew was by far the best I've done, looking forward to the pumpkin.  Should be bottled for about 2 months before I bring it over.

I've had beer in checked luggage from the US many times - bubble wrap, then Ziplock, then wrapped in a sweatshirt, and make sure your case is full enough so things don't shift around.
The only time I every had trouble with TSA, then took *one* of two identical bottles; clearly they just wanted a sample.

Where are you coming from?

States_Brewer1979

Coming from Columbus Ohio, going to catch the US National Soccer Team vs Ireland National Team.  But the rest of the time is just enjoying Dublin and a much needed holiday.

Hmmm. Pumpkin ale would be enough to get me out... Sounds good.

BTW, don't bring flip-top bottles in transatlantic luggage. Turns out the low air pressure causes them to leak. Lost a good crate of sparkling mead that way.  :-(

SlugTrap

Ohio? Bring some Head Hunter or Hop Juju!
Seriously, I'd be glad to trade; PMing you now...

Bigvalen I only use regular crimp caps, so hopefully I don't get any explosions or other issues lol.  SlugTrap I will see what I can get, might have to find a good beer shop that let's me create my own sixer or buy individual bottles.
