This came via a mate involved in it... might be handy if you have a good recipe you want to up-scale at some point.

I'm hoping to get a few guys in work interested, and go do a big collaborative batch :)

No webpage yet, but I love their branding - more power to them, hope they make it a success  ;)

The press release say they got the old kit from the Galway Hooker guys, so 500 litre batches.

I was wondering - what's good to do with proper kit, that's hassle for smaller ones ? I was thinking something like a Pliny the Elder, which would use a lot of space in my boiler... or maybe stuff like a Belgian Quad or an Imperial stout, that has a high FG ?

Good idea. Depending on the system it might allow different mashing techniques that you can't do on your own home kit e.g. step/decoction.

Tom

Or do something sour/bretty so you don't contaminate your own plastic FVs. ;)

You should ask how they package the beer too, in case you end up with a 50l keg each.

Amazingly, if the price was right, I wouldn't miss and a 50l keg. SO might have a different idea though... ;)

Ooh. Could also be the mother of all barrel projects!

Would be cool if, say for example a club brewed up a batch, if we could then have a keg of it up at the NHC Competition. We give a few pints away to volunteers on teh day so why not make it a few pints of a homebrewer's beer.

They have started an indigogo campaign to raise cash... https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/craftworks-contract-brewery

(Myself and a fee friends are going to go for the "collaborative brew" :-)

And, woohoo, I've made the €2500 perk happen :)

Nearly there...
