Hi all

Was in woodoes yesterday and i spotted a 304 grade flexi 1/2 " tube.  Gonna use it as a dip tube in my kettle when whilrlpool before i send wort through my plate chiller. It bends 180 degrees with no flow loss.. looks good quality.. cost 8 bucks..

Is 304 stainless steel not food grade? Am i missing something? Will this br safe in my kettle? Any opinions.. Thought this was ideal for a dip tube as it can be shaped by hand..

Rats

304 is foodgrade. 303 got sulfer in it.

They are selling this by the metre for 11 euro

A meter is a bit long for a dip tube :-) this flexipipe will not work as a bazooka as it is not porous

That is certainly true :)  could cut it in half, you would get an whirlpool arm and dip tube, possibly.....
