Looking for 4 or 5 castor wheels. Gonna be for a kegerator so will need to be fairly heavy duty (although I won't be moving the fridge very often at all). Anyone got any knocking about or can recommend somewhere to buy them?

B&q have basic ones like you used to get on sofas back in the day. Ikea have them too and a better selection. You probably should get two that lock.

Dunno if they'd hold a fridge with 3 cornies and CO2 though :-\

Saw some decent ones in Ted Johnson's in Naas if you're ever out that way. They were rated for 75kg and there were larger ones too.

B&Q ones are weedy, good furniture castors should be ok considering the sofa supports 3 large adults they won't have trouble with the weight of one.

A&L castors tallaght used to sell sets of 2 fixed 2 swivel very cheap on ebay don't seem to be on there anymore.

They are the now trading as parnells: https://www.parnells.eu/castors.html

Whatever you get from them should last a lifetime my neighbour had very heavy wood working benches on castors from them. Just give them a ring they'll advise you.

Cheap source of sturdy castors is those lidl/aldi dollys. They're rated 250kg.

IKEA

Or these,

€10 for 4, rated at 45kg per caster

Or,

€9 for a joined pair, you don't need to use/attach the upright bracket

Just being down to B&Q and I used one of their trolleys to carry out the stuff I bought :). You could do the same and buy a tube of Soudal painters chalk at only €1 a tube :o and used the trolley to carry it to your car which of course you left at home ;)

Hi Delzep - I've a few castors that may be of use to you. 2 types - dual or single wheel. These were removed from data/telecoms equipment cabinets - as new. Can get my hands on more if anyone else wants some....
