I got two of these a couple of weeks ago. Insulated them with the behind the radiator stuff and used one as a mash tun and one as a boiler and they both worked really well with an induction hob

Great stuff delzep, thanks for that!

hopapotamus

iv been looking at these , as the pot suits my budget, what type of induction hob do you use delzep? i have a lidl induction hob but i think the pot may be a bit big?

delzep

Got it from nisbets. Imark uses the same one and he recommended it to me

hopapotamus

i already have the lidl one , single ring style .but im sure it should work

delzep

The one I have is 3kW. You'd need at least 2.5kW I'd say or else you'd be all day waiting to get up to temperature

hopapotamus

i have a bucket boiler , but the tempation of a nice pot for €44 is hard to resist

Im not sure that one is induction ready.

I bought this induction hob from the UK for about 170 delivered, the Nisbets one is 227 delivered at the minute.

Shit I didn't realise these induction hobs were so expensive. My kitchen Ikea one was €200 but the most powerful ring is only 2100w. Wonder can I straddle a couple of them :)

That one looks the same as nisbets buffalo brand one. Earlier buffalo ones had an issue with cutting out. I returned mine to nisbets after 6 months for a replacement. No more problems since. They were great to deal with.

Do you have 4 induction heads on your hob and if so can all 4 be on at the same time.

I've just picked up a second hand buffalo one from eBay. Hoping it doesn't have these problems. It looks pretty new though.
