We will run it for a few more days.

Hi. I managed to pay you twice today for an order (#57305). Emailed Shane but not sure if he's around. You might refund one of them for me if you don't mind!

Drzava

Thanks for sorting that out quickly guys!

The Homebrew Company

Hi,

We are now stocking the full range of the huge German Malster Bestmalz. Bestmalz uses top-grade two-row summer malting barley and brewing wheat from the best cultivation areas in southwestern Germany. The barley is healthy and pure, fine spelt and strongly enzymatic.

BESTMALZ uses germination technology, controlled germination without chemical additives (German Purity Law) in Saladin compartments. The malt is regarded as some of the finest Malt in the world. We have taken in large volumes of the following malts:

Wheat Malt
Pilsen Malt
Pale Ale Malt
Munich Malt
Heidelberg Malt
Vienna Malt
Wheat Malt Dark
Munich Malt Dark
Red X
Melanoidin Light
Melanoidin
Caramel Pils
Caramel Hell
Caramel Aromatic
Caramel Amber
Caramel Munich I
Caramel Munich III
Special X
Acidulated Malt

We now have the full range built onto the website. We have slashed the pricing on all of this range to give you guys the chance to brew with it yourselves. There are also some exclusives in there to the Irish market:

Red X: BEST Red X is specially created for brewing red-tinted beers. You can use BEST Red X for up to 100% of your grain bill – no other malt is required. Offering exceptional reliability and optimal process ability, BEST Red X can be employed to brew consistently fiery beers with intense reddish hues. Its full-bodied flavour and attractive, unique colour coupled with easy handling in the brewery make BEST Red X the best choice for creating a broad range of new beers, such as red-tinted wheat beers.

Special X: BEST Special X imparts to beer – depending on the amount in the grist – a smooth roasty flavour reminiscent of raisins or dried fruit. The beer possesses a chestnut to dark hue (depending on rate) and an aromatic and harmonious full-bodied character. The malt does not, however, introduce bitter roasted flavours but rather brings a mild smoothness to beer without any of the astringent qualities associated with other dark malts. BEST Special X is a cool and "crafty" malt-product. Any craft-brewer should try-out this malt in his or her creations. BEST Special X is produced according to a unique malting process and is very gently kilned afterwards.

We do hope you try some:

The Homebrew Company

Hi All,

We are placing an order for white labs this weekend, should be here next week. If anyone has any last minute requests just pop it on here and I will check back in on Sunday. This Month's Platinum's are:

July/Aug
WLP006 Bedford British Ale Yeast
WLP540 Abbey IV Yeast
WLP585 Belgian Saison III Yeast

On another note we would like to let everyone know that we are now stocking the full Minch Speciality range:

https://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/grain-minch-irish-malt-c-69_265.html

The new warehouse is packed to the rafters with all the new grain now on offer with the new Bestmalz flying out the door also, the Red X is proving practically popular. This range won't be beaten on quality, diversity and price.

We have also added an all grain recipe build option on our site, it is very simple, just follow the guidelines and we can build almost any all grain kit. This is proving particularly popular already:

Enjoy

Shane, can your existing recipes for mash kits now be ordered using whole grain because of this new ordering thingy?

The Homebrew Company

Yes, just order through the site and put a noye on the order to say you want the grains whole.

molc

That's an excellent feature, in particular that you package up the whole recipe as given. Perfect for saving in ordering too much of certain grains.
Can I also request a liquid yeast option for an additional charge, like they do on the American sites?
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Go on, then. Stick us down for a Saison (WLP585). This balmy Irish summmer has me in the mood for brewing Saisons. Thanks.
