No NO No ffs No
Mead was the only one we said maybe
No 330's in any beer cats
Sorry to shout, but you can tell after 2 years this issue is starting to bug some of us.

molc

I should bring all my 330's to bottle sorting and watch John start to have a meltdown. >:)

I'm back doing 1A this year aren't I. :(
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Leann ull

Sure bring em I have a good friend I can recommend who is a really good Colorectal Surgeon.
Molc we have you down for the "oh shit this is not good enough for the Smithwicks Comp but I'll enter it in the Nationals cat. " there are quite a lot of them allegedly

Now gather around Children whilst I tell you a story;
For years if anybody wanted to travel to Saudi Arabia on your Visa Application it's says in very large bold lettering, importation of Class A drugs is punishable by death.
On the plane you are reminded travelling to The Kingdom importation of Drugs is punishable by Death.
In the customs hall in very large lettering importation of drugs is punishable by Death.
Yet every year some poor Drug Mules get executed usually Philippinos beheaded in the public square....

Entrants we have your beers sorted and good to go still some readily identifiable bottles so look out for those comments on your score sheets.
In the main no hiccups and I want to thank the bottle sorters that came this morning it makes the job so much easier!
Thankyou also to my assistant cameraman Jacob who promised to pull faster next year but was complaining about the load!

Bubbles

This was my favourite.. Still covered in glue from the first label so the comp label completely stuck to it. Then sellotaped for good measure. Distinctive marks on caps also. But as CH says, bottle like this were very rare!

pob

The American Homebrew Association have the 'Ninkasi' award, I propose for next year anyone who doesn't bother reading the rules, will earn the 'In Jacksy' award with their entries!

The sellotape may aid retrieval.

Great to see the generosity of all those that gave their time to help make the national competition happen. I think the process is being refined each year to streamline things. I'd say it's a lot better now than a few years ago.
Liffey brewers out in strength. Good job guys.

nigel_c

Is there a break down of what is being judged where?

Leann ull

This was answered elsewhere, nope won't be published in advance as per previous years, only info out there is for Belfast judges who have been told what their cat is in order that they have a go at a few of that style before the day.

nigel_c

Grand thanks. Was just wondering. It's not like I'm wondering if an entry will we carbed in time.
Much better was of doing it as it'll stop people looking for scores for beers they know have been judged.
Thanks.
