Apologies for the delay, in addition to the move key staff have been off sick. We knew it was going to be difficult to move 0.5m worth of goods and still ship orders on time. But we couldn't have foreseen staff shortages at exactly the same time!

Might not be a bad idea to ask the mods to edit/delete the portion of your exchange to maintain the surprise assuming your birthday recipient has not already seen the posts.

OK! I see I'm not the only one with an order problem with Homebrewwest.ie but the email not being responded to is a serious PITA especially as it's not the first time I've had this problem with HBW.

From reading the above posts can I make a suggestion to HBW. Next time you're moving premises, find you are experiencing higher than normal order volumes or your staff are out sick please let us poor sods, who are patiently waiting for orders to arrive, that the items ordered will be delayed and should be sent out by [insert date when they will be sent]

Wafaa79 your order shipped today for delivery tomorrow as promised. Shana yours also shipped today (to the new address emailed). But some are still pending. The move has been very stressful for all. Apologies for any outstanding orders.

The new place is twice the size of the old and we will finally be able to display our 3000+ products. It also means the packers will have everything to hand, and will pack much more efficiently yielding faster order turnaround. We will have the best customer service in the business soon, and we have a solid strategy to demonstrate this in a week or so.

In the meantime, please bear with us for the next few days.

Fingers crossed that they make it tomorrow, if not its not the end of the world and no one will die and the world will keep turning. Seeing what has happened to others recently in Derry and Brussels puts late deliveries in perspective for me.

We didn't place the order for White Labs yeasts in the end as I forgot that that we had to move all our fridges and get them in place to receive them. At the mo, its still manic although we are almost up to date with orders. And nearly everything can be found now. Please give us another week. We are currently making a major effort to make it up to customers who have had orders delayed; if you are on the email list you will know what I mean.

Move To New Store Caused Shipping Delays

So we'd like to make it up to our customers by offering a massive 15% discount on all orders received before midnight on Sunday (17th April).

The new store is about twice the size of the old one, and we will soon have the fastest delivery and best customer service in the business.

But with the sheer amount of stock we had to move, its been very stressful for ourselves and also for customers who had to wait for orders to arrive.
