They've got some in the leaf section. Only a handful but hopefully a sign that more are on the way.

Any idea how long the Grainfather sale is on for? Hoping to make it to payday.

Would be very good to get the timelines on the 2016 hops, as otherwise I'm just going to order from the States. They're really late appearing on the market this year here.

Hi,
Any idea when you are getting the FermTech Auto Siphon in stock again? http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/fermtech-large-autosyphon-p-3942.html

My current siphon is bubbling like crazy and letting O2 in and need a quality replacement, as it's not fit for purpose.

There is a decent one from Canadian manufacturer fermtech, I chucked that cheapo Italian one I had.
Give them all a good rinse after SS and shake dry otherwise Polycarbonate will stress crack
I have silicone tubing on mine as that flexible PVC is tricky to manage

Yeah I just ordered two of the Fermtech ones from Amazon as there was no response here. They look the business.

How much did you pay? Looking now and the ones I can find are all £50+. Seems a bit much for a syphon.

£33 for two with P&P. Had to really scroll down to find that price though :/

Hi All,

Apologies we have been absent for a while. We were short staffed all January so did not get near the forum. If anything we did not want to promote anything else outside of our January sale as we got hammered for the whole month with orders. Anyway we are back to full capacity now kind of.

I see a few queried re pricing of hops. The hops are sold at a set margin sometimes we pay more sometimes we pay less but the price reflects what we pay. We are very rarely sold out of many types these days as we are now supplying countless breweries across Ireland and Europe. To that end you are always guaranteed stock that is constantly turning over. We don't offer smaller or larger packs than the standard 100g as to do so would compromise on the quality. We open and vacuum pack the whole bag once open. Constantly opening and closing bags of hops to get units as low as a few grams is not good.

On the flipside if you look at our grain prices and compare to what is out there I believe that we are well below anything out there price wise. We will not be the cheapest on everything but I'm sure we offer value if you look across our full product range. Again with our grain we buy in bulk with constantly rotating stock, we bring in around 30 tonnes every 2 months so freshness is guaranteed. Best, Muntons and Minch come direct from the malster whereas we co-ordinate directly with the Weyermans and Castle distributors in Ireland so again freshness is guaranteed in all areas.

What's new, we had a large order of fresh white labs arrive this week, our largest yet! We added this month's platinum strains:

WLP022 Essex Ale Yeast
WLP410 Belgian Wit II Ale Yeast

http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/yeast-white-labs-liquid-yeast-beer-c-62_183.html

Our 2016 harvest is a bit slower to come in this year, we have some crops in with lots more arriving over the next two weeks.

In other big news we are now offering exclusively in Ireland Fully Refurbished Corny Kegs. These are like new, have to be seen to be believed:

http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/a-fully-refurbished-second-hand-corny-keg-19lt-ball-lock-grade-a-p-4210.html

I will get some pics up of these later for anyone interested?

The price on these is slightly higher than those of the second hand kegs but these are good to go and look smashing.

On the autosyphons, that is just a case of bad timing on our behalf, we will restock but it will be a few weeks. If ye have a request can people email us directly as we do not get onto the forum as much as we would like these days.

Cheers,

Shane

Some images of the new secondhand kegs. We would like to offer 4 of these to raffle off to club members. All we ask is the club run the raffle and pick the winners. We will send out 1 keg to each of the 4 winners. Hope this is ok?
