Motorbikeman, Fal I guess you could cut some of the tubing off the sparge plate to shorten it but then it will just "lye" on the grain bed . . . I'd wait until we get prices on all the upgrades.

yielded 26 litres from the Bulldog Brewer at the target OG. The wort was amazingly clear.

The thing is that I forgot to attach the sparge plate during mashing! Rookie I know, but we were playing with the differences with the earlier V2 and got distracted. I wonder how much we would have got with the plate in place.

We are going to brew a few of this range and then have open brew days for a few Saturdays to brew the rest of them. I'm hoping we can provide samples. I think its OK if the sample size is less than about 20cc . . . those tiny plastic sample glasses that HB use when they visit. Will need to check, any advise much appreciated.

I think the advantage would be to be able to remove the sparge plate mid mash to stir the grain but have the pipe still in to stop grain going down it and blocking the bazooka tube. If your using the plate for recirc that is.

The Bulldog is a great bit of kit! Got mine the week before last with the Easter deal, and just put on my first all grain (and first Bulldog brew) last night. Love it. Just before Xmas it was approx €440 if I remember right, you'd be silly not to grab it at the current price. Bargain
