Summer Beer Comp 2014 - First Round Judging

Could everyone who plans to enter a beer or turn up on the night throw a quick eye over the competition guidelines in the first post here if you have a chance?

If you think any changes should be made let us all know. In particular, it would be good to know if everybody is happy to go with the same score sheet as last year. It prioritises taste and body over aroma and appearance, but also allows for a fair amount of marks to be awarded for how well the beer fits the competition theme (i.e. lawnmower summer beer).

Also, for those not entering beers, would you like to volunteer as a steward?
Every little helps

I'm happy enough with that anyway. For the club round though, are we not all judging each other? like when you say stewards - are they to give beer to designated judges or?

The stewards have to be there to pour the beer into pitchers so that the judges have no idea whose beer they are judging. Knowing who has brewed the beer skews the results.

My only suggestion is that the score sheet is half the size (half the number of beers) of the current one so that the scores can be totalled up throughout the judging rather than a load at the end.

I think I'm the only person on the list not entering a beer and have no problem being a steward. Only problem is I've been reeled into playing tag rugby on Wednesdays so I'm not sure if i'll make this meet now. If I can make it, i'll do it.
