Cam Lock Fittings: I tried for a long time to get realistic prices for Part A and Part C Cam Lock fittings in Ireland but the best couldn't beat the prices being offered by Brew Builder in Bristol, UK. I just got delivery and at the equivalent of €3.55 for Part A and €5.90 for Part C the saving was significant. I used Address Pal to get them from the UK at lowest cost - total €11.70 - but Brew Builder will post direct to Ireland at a slightly higher cost.

They also have a good price on Silicone tubing. 12mm ID X 21mm OD Platinum Cured Silicone Hose at a little over €5 per Meter.

I used keg kingdom for my part a £2.6 0 b £4.50  d £4.80 f £2.00 I got the big part c's from brewbuilder , they were both tag along items on an order and postage for both was around the €10 mark. http://www.kegkingdom.co.uk/collections/cam-lock-disconnect-fittings

Yep he has expanded his range alright, don't touch his type c's though they really restrict flow, other vendors have open bore options.

The (w)hole point about bsp sizes is the Bore size.

So a 1/2" bsp screwed pipe will have a bore of 1/2" and an od of approx 20+ mm

So 1/2 camlock fittings should all allow a 1/2" test finger into the bore!

When it comes to hose tails it is a different story. A 1/2" cam lock hose tail should also have a bore of 1/2" and to allow for this (the tail will be about 22m od) you will need silicon tubing of approx 22mm id!.

The issue as I see it with hose tails is there's no point in investing in a centre inlet chugger which has a 3/4 " thread and trying to feed this through a hose tail with a 3/8 " id  bore. It's asking for cavitation problems, and can be a root cause of people not generating a whirlpool.

The Part Cs I got are the big bore option. The tail pipe on these has an ID of 16mm and an OD of 19mm. With the use of a little hot water the silicone hose I got from Damo, with an ID of 14mm, fitted over the tailpipe with a little encouragement from me - otherwise known as BF & I. The fit is very secure given the length of the tail pipe.
