Club Profile: South Dublin Brewers

Representatives: Bubbles, Shanna

“South Dublin Brewers” were founded in February 2013 which makes it one of the NHC’s newest clubs. We conduct a homebrew tasting every month which is kindly hosted by The Dark Horse in Blackrock. The friendly meets are open to NHC members and non-members alike and usually attract between 5 and 10 brewers. Brewers usually bring 1 or 2 bottles of beer and valuable feedback is given to anyone who asks for it. Details of the meets can be found in the calendar and you can sign up for the meets in the South Dublin Brewers forum.

“South Dublin Brewers” are currently hosting a whiskey cask as part of the NHC’s Barrel Project. Nine brewers from across Dublin and North Wicklow are using the cask to age 200 litres of delicious home-brewed Imperial Porter. The recipe was designed by award-winning home brewer Rossa O’Neill.
