Lads no need to add any more names we are good at 20 to run it, please enter as many times as you can.
Prizes like all GCB comps are solid and entry system up shortly.
I spose the beauty of this style is you can have 1 core recipe and dry hop 3 or 4 varieties in different fv vessels and better still a good shake of bottle conditioned entries will only benefit the beer

What do you mean "enter as many times as you can"? Was the comp not limited to 50 entries or has that limit been lifted?

We have 25 interested if each entered 2 or 3 we could accommodate it Mick. A lot of folks put names down and never get to it as well so better to have too many than too few.

Once comp system opened I'll update this thread, like nationals nobody gets left behind!

Good stuff thanks for the explanation John.
I'll be doing my first attempt this weekend. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out

It's a really odd beer that I've learned to love since the RDS.
Have fun

Yeah shake the bottles with hazy beers is Def a good idea. Should get judges to do the same at the nationals :)
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

I had a crack at an NEIPA last night. Way undershot my efficiency - got 65% instead of 85% that I do normally.

Then my hop stand was accidentally done at 85 degrees instead of 77 so theoretically I have 100 IBUs in what will be a 4.9% beer.

Just tasted the wort there and its not looking good!

Qs

The dry hops should help

Qs

My one was kind of amazing and kind of horrible before I cold crashed it. It had the best aroma I've ever smelled and had an amazing hop flavour but that gave way to something really unappealing, now that I've cold crashed it the weird taste has gone but the aroma has followed. Its a smooth, easy drink off the FV now but not very exciting. Hopefully the carbonation  and second round of dry hops lift it again.

I'm not sure if I'll try to make another NEIPA though, its too much hops for a beer I always consider not as nice as a regular American IPA.
